1958 and 1960

In 1958 Geplasmetal was created by José María Tartaj. Located in Picarral, on the outskirts of Zaragoza. Dedicated to metal stamping and plastic injection.

In the 1960s, José Casorrán joined as a minority partner and Commercial Director. The company grows exponentially. With the available machines we began the manufacture of axles for agricultural vehicles and two-piece wheels. Our ability to produce parts with our own machinery allows us to complete our offer with other accessories for the agricultural market. Geplasmetal's commercial network expands with distributors throughout Spain. 7 warehouses are opened located in: Lérida, Valencia, Albacete, Granada, Seville, Mérida and Valladolid.

1970

In the 1970s, two contracts were signed to complement the range manufactured by Geplasmetal. The first is an agreement with Bondioli&Pavesi creating B&P Ibérica which, under the same management as Geplasmetal and its distribution network, begins to market agricultural transmissions. The second agreement is with the French company FTF with which begins the manufacture of high-speed axles with suspension by torsion bars and rubber. At the end of this decade there are several failed initiatives, the most important being the purchase of industrial land to place the manufacture of agricultural axles in new facilities in Calatayud, 80 km from Zaragoza. The difficulties lead to dividing the company in two: one part dedicated to production, and the other dedicated to commercial services to sell the manufacturing products of the previous company together with products from other suppliers.

1980

In the 80's FTF is bought by the competition. The commercial part of Geplasmetal decides to abandon the Picarral headquarters and moves to the Cogullada Industrial Estate in Zaragoza. These are years of industrial restructuring in Spain. Geplasmetal is controlled by a small Italian company that decides to sell all the companies and structures, locating itself in the current location of Polígono Malpica.

2000, 2008 and 2009

Turbulent start with a "Covid" pandemic, hundreds of thousands of companies close around the world due to the necessary isolation to avoid contagion, there is a lack of components to manufacture, maritime transport collapses and a war between Ukraine and Russia complicate life around the world. GEPLASMETAL makes an important economic donation to Spanish institutions for research in treatments and vaccines, the health and safety of our workers is the priority. The company is solid, and our future is secure.

Until 2008 Geplasmetal enjoys a favorable and profitable period thanks to the situation of the Iberian economy.

The profound and unexpected global crisis of 2009 that affected all sectors, including construction, forced GKN GEPLASMETAL to review its strategy and carry out a major business restructuring plan.

2012, 2013 and 2015

In December 2012 Geplasmetal is bought by ADR GROUP, an important company in the sector of components for agricultural and industrial vehicles, specializing in the manufacture of axles, suspensions and brakes. A solid company created in 1950.

Less than two years have been enough for GEPLASMETAL to recover its leadership and once again be the reference in the Iberian market.

In 2015, only two years later, Geplasmetal manages to recover all its solidity. It once again becomes a benchmark in the Iberian Peninsula.

2020

The future

The objective is to relaunch the GEPLASMETAL brand, which for decades has contributed to the growth and development of the agricultural and industrial machinery sector. GEPLASMETAL will continue to improve the service to its customers by offering quality, product development, speed and expansion of the range of products that its customers demand: Axles, Suspensions, Brakes, Wheels, Tires, Complete wheels, cylinders, as well as accessories related to the manufacture of agricultural and industrial machinery. The promotion of production in Zaragoza together with the experience of ADR will be factors of success to achieve the ambitious objectives proposed.

Mission

The production unit present in the territory will make a full range of products available to the most demanding manufacturers, from the most complex mechanical groups, to wheels, tires and related accessories. Reduced delivery times, fast, efficient and coordinated technical assistance in Spain with local personnel supported by the specialists of the parent company ADR system. We will be able to offer technical solutions that will provide adequate functional and commercial responses to the needs of manufacturers, always in agreement with the end users. ADR Geplasmetal is a guarantee of efficiency, technological progress and advanced research; thanks, also, to the people who are part of it. ADR Geplasmetal is in a position to supply, in a competitive, serious, constant and responsible manner, practically all the accessories and components necessary to manufacture any type of agricultural machinery.

Our office in Spain will be able to develop production to provide customers with a more appropriate and agile service, and what is more important, to obtain a final product tailored to the manufacturer, complete and quickly, to be assembled in your machine.
